Welcome to ABEL Dog Training. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of our dog training services. By scheduling, purchasing, or participating in any training services offered by ABEL Dog Training ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to these Terms.
1. Services
ABEL Dog Training provides professional dog training services, including private lessons, group classes, consultations, behavior modification programs, and other canine-related educational services as offered.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or refuse services at our discretion when necessary for safety, welfare, or operational reasons.
2. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information about their dog, including age, vaccination status, medical conditions, and behavioral history.
Follow all training instructions and recommendations provided by ABEL Dog Training.
Ensure that all dogs are properly restrained when required and under the owner's control before and after training sessions.
Inform us promptly of any changes in the dog's health or behavior.
Training success depends on consistent owner participation and practice. Therefore, specific results cannot be guaranteed.
3. Health and Vaccination Requirements
Clients represent that their dog:
Is in good health and fit to participate in training activities.
Is current on vaccinations as recommended by their veterinarian.
Is free from contagious illnesses or conditions that could pose a risk to other dogs or people.
ABEL Dog Training may refuse participation if a dog appears ill, injured, or presents a safety concern.
4. Payments
Payment is due according to the pricing and payment schedule provided at the time of booking.
Failure to make timely payment may result in cancellation, suspension, or denial of services.
Prices are subject to change at any time; however, confirmed bookings will be honored at the agreed-upon rate.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Clients are encouraged to provide as much notice as possible when canceling or rescheduling appointments.
ABEL Dog Training reserves the right to establish and enforce cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show policies, which may be communicated separately at the time of booking.
In cases of severe weather, emergencies, illness, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, appointments may be rescheduled.
6. Assumption of Risk
Dog training involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Dog bites or scratches
Property damage
Injury to people or animals
Unpredictable animal behavior
By participating in training services, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your dog's participation.
7. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ABEL Dog Training, its owners, employees, contractors, and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense arising from:
Participation in training activities
Actions of any dog participating in training
Failure of the client to follow training recommendations
Incidents occurring before, during, or after training sessions
This limitation applies except where prohibited by applicable law.
8. Aggressive or Dangerous Behavior
Clients must disclose any history of aggression, biting, reactivity, or dangerous behavior prior to training.
ABEL Dog Training reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a dog's behavior presents an unreasonable safety risk to trainers, clients, the public, or other animals.
9. No Guarantee of Results
Dogs learn at different rates and respond differently to training methods. Because training outcomes depend on numerous factors, including owner consistency, environment, genetics, and behavior history, ABEL Dog Training does not guarantee specific behavioral or training results.
10. Photography and Marketing
During training sessions, photographs or videos may occasionally be taken for educational, promotional, or marketing purposes.
If a client does not wish their dog or themselves to appear in such materials, they must notify ABEL Dog Training in writing prior to participation.
11. Intellectual Property
Training materials, handouts, guides, videos, and other educational content provided by ABEL Dog Training remain the property of ABEL Dog Training and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without prior written permission.
12. Force Majeure
ABEL Dog Training shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, power outages, illness, or other emergencies.
13. Privacy
Any personal information collected from clients will be used solely for business operations, communication, scheduling, and service delivery. We do not sell client information to third parties.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
